OCEANMAN AZERBAIJAN - SEA BREEZE 2027

In September 2027, Sea Breeze will host Azerbaijan’s first-ever stage of OCEANMAN, the international open-water swimming race series. The project is initiated by Caspian Aqua Challenge with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation and Dream Group International.

The competition will bring together professional athletes, amateur swimmers and guests from different countries, creating new opportunities for the development of open-water swimming and promoting Azerbaijan as a destination for sports tourism.

On October 27, as part of preparations for OCEANMAN Azerbaijan – Sea Breeze 2027, Polish ultramarathon swimmer Bartłomiej Kubkowski and Boris Najafov, the first Azerbaijani to swim across the Strait of Gibraltar, completed a 10-kilometre test swim off the coast of The Grand aparthotel at Sea Breeze, assessing the proposed competition route.

On October 29, a project presentation and press conference with representatives of the sporting community took place at Sea Breeze Grand Hall.

OCEANMAN is one of the largest and most prestigious international open-water swimming race series. Its events take place in more than 35 countries worldwide, bringing together professional athletes, experienced swimmers, amateurs aged 7 to 75, families and corporate teams.

The OCEANMAN Azerbaijan – Sea Breeze 2027 programme will feature several race distances: the 10-kilometre OCEANMAN, the 5-kilometre HALF OCEANMAN, the 2-kilometre SPRINT, the OCEANKIDS race for children, the OCEANTEAMS relay, as well as OCEANMAN INSPIRATION, a charity swim for children with special needs. In addition to the sporting programme, a range of festival activities is planned for participants and guests.

Hosting OCEANMAN Azerbaijan – Sea Breeze 2027 will introduce the Caspian Sea to the international swimming community, draw attention to the region’s tourism potential and further strengthen Azerbaijan’s position on the global sports map.

Registration for OCEANMAN Azerbaijan 2027 also opened on October 29. The event will take place from September 3 to 5, 2027, at Sea Breeze.
