On 18 July 2025, the Sea Breeze Walk of Fame will host a special ceremony to unveil a star in honour of Anar Mammadkhanov — a prominent public figure, Member of Parliament, and legendary captain of the KVN team "Guys from Baku."

Anar Mammadkhanov was the 1992 KVN Major League Champion, 1993 finalist, winner of the 1995 Summer Cup, and champion of the "Top Ten Teams of the 20th Century" tournament held in 2000. In 2002, he co-organised the first-ever World Championship of "What? Where? When?" in Baku. Beyond his contributions to the world of intellect and comedy, Anar Mammadkhanov was also a remarkable civic leader: he was elected to the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) three times, becoming the youngest MP in the country’s history, and founded the independent news platform Day.az.

The star will be unveiled by Anar Mammadkhanov’s family and close friends, who will gather to honour his vibrant legacy and lasting impact.

The Sea Breeze Walk of Fame is the first and only Walk of Fame in Azerbaijan dedicated to outstanding figures in the fields of culture and the arts. It already features 28 named stars, commemorating legendary individuals such as Muslim Magomayev, David Foster, Rustam Ibrahimbekov, Magsud Ibrahimbekov, Vagif Mustafazadeh, and many others. The collection continues to grow with new additions of global significance.
