Emin Agalarov elected Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council

The regular meeting of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council was held in Baku with the participation of officials and about a hundred businessmen representing various sectors of the economy.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, emphasizing the development of cooperation between the two countries, noted the importance of the partnership mechanism of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council in the context of diversifying trade and economic relations.
The current chairman of the Council, Samad Gurbanov, spoke about the work done to develop trade and business relations between the two countries and support the interests of the business community of Azerbaijan.
Elections to the Board of Directors of the Council were held as part of the event. Emin Agalarov, founder of Agalarov Development, was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council, Yusif Abdullayev, executive director of AZPROMO, and Gambar Banenyarly, director of Nardaran Invest LLC, were elected Deputy Chairman of the Board.
Emin Agalarov noted the importance of the Council's activities in expanding business dialogue between entrepreneurs and increasing partnership opportunities for the business communities of both countries.
The Business Council, which has been operating since 2016, actively cooperates with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Russia-Azerbaijan Business Council, and other state agencies and specialized public organizations of the two countries.
