International IBA Champions’ Night Tournament Held at Sea Breeze for the First Time

On July 10, Sea Breeze hosted the international IBA Champions’ Night tournament for the first time. The event was organized by the International Boxing Association (IBA) with the support of the Azerbaijan Boxing Federation.

Among the evening’s honorary guests were one of Turkey’s most popular contemporary actors, Kerem Bürsin, and boxing legend, multiple-time world champion Roy Jones Jr.

The open-air tournament attracted boxing fans from across the region and brought together members of the international boxing community, distinguished guests, and sports enthusiasts.

The opening ceremony featured performances by the renowned Azerbaijani rhythm group Natiq and Honored Artist of Azerbaijan and Eurovision representative Elnur Huseynov.

The evening featured six exciting bouts. Team Azerbaijan finished the tournament with three victories, earned by Serkhan Aliyev, Saidjamshid Jafarov, and Subhan Mammadov. In the main event of the night, world champion Subhan Mammadov entered the ring to the legendary Can’t Be Touched, performed live by boxing icon Roy Jones Jr., and secured a fourth-round technical knockout victory. Two other bouts featuring Tayfur Aliyev and Nabi Iskandarovended in draws.
