Sea Breeze Hosted the U17 World Championships and Beach Wrestling World Series

From August 27 to 29, Sea Breeze hosted international beach wrestling competitions, bringing together more than 200 athletes from over 30 countries.

On August 27, the U17 World Championships in beach wrestling were held in Azerbaijan for the first time. Around 150 young athletes took part in the tournament. Azerbaijan team finished the championships with eight medals — two gold, three silver and three bronze.

Azerbaijan’s women’s team won the world title in the team standings for the first time, while the men’s team finished second.

On August 28 and 29, Sea Breeze hosted the fourth stage of the Beach Wrestling World Series for senior athletes. Azerbaijani wrestlers won seven medals — three gold, two silver and two bronze. In the final team standings, the Azerbaijan men’s team took first place, while the women’s team finished second.

The prestigious international beach wrestling competitions were organized by the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation with the support of Dream Group International, continuing a series of major sporting events held at Sea Breeze.
