On 12 August, the Event Hall at Sea Breeze Resort City hosted an environmental awareness day for children aged 7–12, titled “Guardians of the Caspian”, dedicated to the International Caspian Sea Day. Participants attended an interactive presentation about the Caspian Sea, explored its ecosystem and environmental behaviour models, and discussed the importance of conserving water resources. The programme included a short coastal expedition with scientific observations, salinity measurements, studies of aquatic organisms and coastal plants, and microscope work. All participants wrote a “Letter to the Caspian” and created their own shell mosaics.
Each participant received a “Young Researcher of the Caspian Sea” diploma and a “Marine Passport” bearing the symbolic stamp of the expedition.
The event was organised by Sea Breeze Resort in collaboration with the Social and Environmental Centre EkoSfera as part of the resort’s environmental initiatives programme.
Sea Breeze aims to become the most eco-friendly resort city in every country where it operates. The project undergoes environmental assessments at every stage of construction, with regular monitoring of water and soil quality and oversight of all engineering systems. Since 2024, the resort city has been connected to a centralised sewage system. More than 10 million trees and plants have already been planted within Sea Breeze, with further landscaping ongoing. One of the project’s key features is the relocation of the construction line 400–500 metres inland from the shoreline to preserve a wide public coastal area. Instead of the legally permitted minimum of 50 metres, the area has been designed to include parks, pedestrian walkways, restaurants, and unrestricted public access to the sea for all visitors.
