SEA BREEZE TO HOST U17 WORLD BEACH WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS AND IV WORLD SERIES STAGE FOR THE FIRST TIME

From August 27 to 29, Sea Breeze will host the U17 World Beach Wrestling Championships and the IV stage of the World Series for the first time in Azerbaijan.
On August 27, around 150 young wrestlers from 34 countries will take to the mat. The competition will be held in two sessions, at 10:00 and 16:00, with each session lasting two hours. Participants will compete for medals across eight weight categories: up to 60, 70, 80 and 90 kg for boys, and up to 45, 55, 65 and 75 kg for girls.
On August 28 and 29, the IV stage of the World Series in senior beach wrestling will take place. More than 60 athletes will compete. Men will compete in the up to 70, 80, 90 and over 90 kg categories, while women will compete in the up to 50, 60, 70 and over 70 kg categories. On both days, the competition will also be held in two sessions, at 10:00 and 16:00, with each session lasting two hours.
In total, more than 200 athletes from 34 countries will gather at Sea Breeze over the three days. The international competitions will bring together young athletes and experienced representatives of beach wrestling, competing for medals on the shores of the Caspian Sea.
The competitions are organized by the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation with the support of Dream Group International and will take place at the beach venue opposite McDonald’s. Admission is free.
