Yuly Gusman’s Star Unveiled at Sea Breeze Walk of Fame

On October 12, 2026, an unveiling ceremony for a star dedicated to Yuli Gusman—a theatre and film director, television presenter and actor, long-standing member of the KVN jury, founder and artistic director of the Nika National Film Award, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan and Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation—took place at Sea Breeze Walk of Fame.

The event was attended by Sea Breeze founder Emin Agalarov, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Culture Murad Huseynov, as well as Yuly Gusman’s colleagues, friends and family members, and admirers of his work.

Addressing the guests, the director spoke about his special connection with Baku. “When you come to Baku, you realise that it is an absolutely extraordinary city. Everyone is talking about it today. It has been developed so beautifully! Azerbaijanis from Baku living all over the world form a close-knit brotherhood of people united by their love for this city,” Yuly Gusman noted.

Sea Breeze Walk of Fame is the first and only Walk of Fame in Azerbaijan dedicated to outstanding figures in culture and the arts. Today, it honours 46 distinguished personalities, including Muslim Magomayev, Vagif Mustafazadeh, Rustam Ibragimbekov, Tahir Salahov, David Foster and many others.

The unveiling of Yuly Gusman’s star continues the tradition of honouring cultural figures whose work and life journeys have left a lasting mark on history.
